An alum of the University of California, Los Angeles, Itika Oldwine pursued a master’s degree in social science at the University of Chicago. While in Chicago she landed an internship at The Oprah Winfrey Show, the top rated talk show in the country. There, she was introduced to the world of broadcast journalism.

After completing her internship program at The Oprah Winfrey Show Itika was quickly offered a Production Assistant position with ABC's nationally syndicated talk show, The View. At The View, Itika worked directly with co-host's Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar, and Star Jones and was a featured guest in their Emmy nominated Halloween Special and Christmas Special.

While in New York, Itika also had the privilege of conducting a one-on-one interview with political activist and one-time presidential candidate Al Sharpton for BET Nightly News.

Eventually, Itika decided to head back west to Los Angeles where she joined the news team at ABC's World News Tonight. At World News Tonight Itika worked on historical news stories such as the War in Iraq and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial race. Simultaneously to working on hard international and national news stories, she signed exclusively with the Ford Modeling Agency in LA. As a Ford model, Itika worked alongside Grammy Award winning artists Kanye West and Janet Jackson, was photographed by esteemed photographer Cliff Watts and worked with famed movie director Dave Meyers.

But it wasn't long before The Oprah Winfrey Show asked Itika to return to Chicago to rejoin their production team. While back In Chicago, Itika signed with the Chicago division of the Ford Modeling Agency. Soon after joining Ford Chicago she landed an international campaign for L’Oréal and a national campaign with Fashion Fair Cosmetics. She was also featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show modeling some of "Oprah's Favorite Things For The Summer," and has since been featured in magazines, billboards and fashion guides throughout the country.

While living in Chicago Itika has fast become a well known face on the media scene. In 2007 she had the pleasure of interviewing Chicago Bears players Brendon Ayanbadejo and Lance Briggs for Current TV as they were heading off to Super Bowl XLI. Later that year she joined the cast of NudeHippo on nbcchicago.com as a correspondent where she reported on interesting locales and fun events in and around the city of Chicago.

In addition, Itika reports for the Chicago based hip-hop website 247hh.com where she has interviewed popular hip-hop artists Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, David Banner and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. As if that's not enough to keep her busy, Itika is also a blogger for the Emmy Award winning NBC Chicago Street Team and a contributor for NBC's weekly series 24/7. She is also becoming widely known for her role as the "Hollywood Diva," a member of the "Diva Squad," on RAW TV on FOX Chicago and RAW TV Radio on Power 92. As a member of the "Diva Squad" Itika has landed interviews with Tocarra of America's Next Top Model fame, Adawale Ogunleye and Jerry Azumah of the Chicago Bears, musicians Christian Rich, G.O.O.D. Music's Malik Yusef, and a host of other popular artists, entertainers, and taste makers.
